 eneral Meeting Formal notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) is 
 hereby given. The EGM will be held on Thursday\, 18 March via Zoom at 7pm 
 at which a decision on the below two recommendations will be made. At a me
 eting held on Saturday\, 25th January 2025\, the Executive Committee of GA
 PTC received expert legal advice on the legal status of the organisation. 
 As a result\, the Executive Committee approved the following two recommend
 ations: 1. That GAPTC Transition to a Company Limited by Guarantee: This c
 hange will modernise GAPTC’s legal structure and provide greater financi
 al and operational security. 2. That GAPTC Formally changes its name to: G
 loucestershire Association of Local Councils (GALC) This new name better r
 eflects the organisation’s role in representing all local councils acros
 s the county and is in line with other NALC-affiliated County Associations
 . Member councils may vote ONCE on EACH proposal\, either electronically (
 via the GAPTC website) before the EGM or by appointing a delegate to vote 
 on their behalf at the EGM. Electronic voting takes place HERE. Members ma
 y also vote at the meeting. Register before Friday\, 14 March to attend th
 e EGM.
