  course\, available both online and in person. Each session is two hours l
 ong and is tailored for new clerks who need to grasp the essentials of the
 ir role. Part 1: Roles\, Responsibilities and Core Council Practices In Pa
 rt 1\, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the roles and re
 sponsibilities of council members and officers\, along with the processes 
 involved in setting agendas and recording minutes. The session covers key 
 council documents\, grant finding\, CPD and the legal advice and guidance 
 necessary to perform these tasks effectively. This interactive session pro
 vides a solid foundation for clerks\, helping them navigate their role wit
 h confidence and clarity from the outset. The fee is £45 per two-hour onl
 ine session. Clerks can also choose to engage this training in an in-perso

 ourse is designed to provide clerks with a comprehensive overview of their
  responsibilities and introduce them to the vital aspects of local governa
