 t course\, available both online and in person. Each session is two hours 
 long and is tailored for new clerks who need to grasp the essentials of th
 eir role. Part 2 focusses on planning\, engagement and finance Participant
 s will explore the basics of local planning\, effective community engageme
 nt\, and looks at governance and accountability\, including year-end accou
 nts\, budgets and precept setting\, VAT and the council's Financial Regula
 tions. This interactive session provides a solid foundation for clerks\, h
 elping them navigate their role with confidence and clarity from the outse
 t. The fee is £45 per two-hour online session. Clerks can also choose to 
 engage this training in an in-person\, one-to-one session (for a quote and
  details please contact us). This course is designed to provide clerks wit
 h a comprehensive overview of their responsibilities and introduce them to
  the vital aspects of local governance.
